Christina Hendricks : The Embodiment Of Beauty

Christina Rene Hendricks was born May 3, 1975 in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA and  raised in Idaho and Virginia. Her Kennedy-era curves and hot red lipstick made Hendricks an instant favorite with viewers and a popular presence on Hollywood red carpets.

She had her first steady work on TV in four episodes of the MTV series Undressed (1999) and then 19 episodes of the Showtime series Beggars and Choosers (2000-01). She also had a recurring role (as the con artist Saffron) in the short-lived but beloved sci-fi show Firefly (2002). For the next five years she bounced around TV (including a run on the series Kevin Hill) before landing her part on Mad Men. As Joan Holloway, the office manager, she carried on an affair with partner Roger Sterling (played by John Slattery) and charmed clients while controlling the firm's secretaries with an iron girdle.

In 2010, Christina Hendricks was named "the sexiest woman in the world" in a poll of female readers taken by Esquire magazine.

Christina Hendricks Measurements : Height : 5’8 (173 cm), Weight : around 70 kgs or 154 pounds, Measurements : 39DD-30-39, Cup Size : estimated DD or possibly F, Dress Size: 12 or 14. How do we know? According to Christinahendricksgallery, Christina Hendricks measurements of 39-30-39 are taken from a dress she wore on the hit TV show Mad Men. The dress was for sale on eBay to benefit the charity City Of Hope.

She previously criticised designers for ignoring curvier women like herself in favour of super skinny celebrities.

The Mad Men actress, 35, has been chosen as the new face of Dame Vivienne Westwood's latest venture, her 'Get A Life' Palladium Jewellery collection.

Hendricks told to Daily Mail, 'Vivienne Westwood has always been one of my favourite designers, so it was a great honour for me to be asked to represent the "Get a Life" Palladium Jewellery Collection. 'I admire that Vivienne uses her designs to inspire change and the pieces are just so wonderful. 'I love that there are dramatic pieces such as the tiara and the heart necklace as well as more simple pieces such as the acorn earrings. As Palladium is a naturally white metal, the pieces really sparkle under the lights and I cannot wait to wear them on the red carpet.'

Dame Vivienne is equally appreciative, saying: 'Christina is the embodiment of beauty and we were delighted to have been able to involve her with this new jewellery collection. 'Her style is just so complimentary to my designs. She has proved to be the perfect model for the campaign.'

Christina Hendricks on the cover of Lucky magazine’s August 2011 issue, she is wears Donna Karan New York , The Magazine on newsstands Tuesday (July 5).  Here’s Christina Hendricks had to share:

On dressing her famous curves: “I have to be careful about my proportions and keep it simple. What works for me is structure and something that shows my waist.”

On her least favorite outfit: “It’s really hard to find a bathing suit if you have breasts. You either get smooshed down or there’s no support. My husband and I have sketched out designs.”

On her go-to designers when on the red carpet: Vivienne Westwood for drama, L’Wren Scott for her perfect tailoring and body consciousness and Zac Posen for whimsy.”

On why she, a natural blonde, dyed her hair at 10: “I was obsessed with Anne of Green Gables, so I wanted red hair. My mom said, ‘I’ll throw a rinse on it.’”
