Florence Brudenell-Bruce : Newest Girlfriend's Prince Harry

Florence Anne-Marie Brudenell-Bruce was born in 1985. Florence is the youngest of four children of Old Etonian wine merchant, Andrew Robert Joel Brudenell-Bruce, and his French wife Sophie Inch, a painter. She is grew up in a large house in Fulham, South-West London, with her parents and three elder siblings, Alice Marie Antoinette Brudenell-Bruce ( born in 1974), Henry Robert Woolf Brudenell-Bruce ( born in 1976), and Christabel Marie-Jeanne Brudenell-Bruce( born in 1981).

Florence Brudenell-Bruce was privately educated at the prestigious Stowe School, in Buckinghamshire. After Stowe, Florence went on to Bristol University, graduating with a degree in history of art.

She is beautiful, aristocratic and impeccably mannered – and to her friends, she is known as ‘Flee’, which suggests a spiritual, otherworldly dimension to her character.

She then began her modelling career. At 16, she had been ‘discovered’ one day – as you are, when you’re Florence Brudenell-Bruce – coming out of Topshop by a modelling scout. But she followed her parents’ advice and waited until she had taken her degree before going in front of the camera.

Naturally slim, she never diets and adores baking. Florence follows her French mother’s advice on healthy eating: eat a good breakfast, lunch and dinner with little snacking in between, and the metabolism will regulate itself, she says. The day before a fashion shoot she avoids large meals; on the shoot she sips ginger tea from a flask, then in the evening enjoys a Thai soup: ‘If food is spicy, it feels good for you.’

Florence is now a successful model, featuring in campaigns for, among others,  Adidas in America, vamping up John Lewis’s image in a swimwear campaign, and posing in Elizabeth Hurley’s designs. A billboard campaign for Knickerbox followed

Florence enjoys modelling, but what she really wants to be is a movie star. So, being a blonde, blue-eyed English rose she decided the best launching pad for her career would be Bollywood – where, two years ago, she took herself off to.

Florence has starred in a Bollywood movie, Love Aaj Kal (Love These Days). She played the Swiss girlfriend of Bollywood hero Saif Ali Khan’s character in this movie, for which she also had a crash course in Bhangra dancing – ‘I’m quite mal-coordinated’ she said.

And she has posed for risqué modelling shots in her underwear and even lain herself on a mortuary slab in the name of art for a forthcoming episode of TV detective drama Lewis. Florence has also recently told of her role in TV’s Lewis: ‘I had to lie in a morgue on a table with a silver sheet over my head.’

And of her plans for the future: ‘I am moving to LA in September,’ she said. ‘I am really excited and hoping to audition for some movie roles. Her ambition, she says, is to star in a Sam Mendes-directed period drama.

Florence Brudenell-Bruce also known dated with Formula One Jenson Button for two years which ended ‘amicably’ in 2008 and she has been linked to Henry St George, son of the late multimillionaire financier Edward St George, but last week, at a posh pre-Wimbledon party, Florence confirmed she had split from her latest boyfriend, Henry St George.

The demise of the romance with St George gives currency to the reports of a romance with Harry. The pair move in the same circles and are believed to have known each other for many years. Florence Brudenell-Bruce has started dating Prince Harry, it has been claimed.

According to Daily Mail, the Prince and Florence have enjoyed "secret trysts" over the past few months. The source said: "It's very early days but Harry and Florence are an item. She is a lot of fun, blonde and very good-looking. Harry really likes her."

The couple, who have been friends for years, apparently became an item after Harry confirmed that his relationship with Chelsy Davy was over for good.

Apparently Florence is more often found "in art galleries than nightclubs". What's more, she's "naturally slim, never diets and adores baking" – ideal princess material. She is the perfect companion for a prince.
