Jenna Lee Marries Navy SEAL Lt. Cmdr. Leif Babin

Anchor Fox News Channel, Jennifer Anne "Jenna" Lee and Navy Seal Executive Officer, Lieutenant Commander Brian Leif Babin are to be married Sunday evening (June 3, 2011) in the chapel of the Old Glory Ranch in Wimberley, Texas. The Officiate the ceremony is The Rev. Gary D. Fine, a minister of the Wimberley Christian Church.

Jenna Lee was born May 30, 1980. She known as co-hosts of “Happening Now,” a daily program on the Fox News Channel. She a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Global & International Studies with emphasis on politics and socioeconomics. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Journalism from Columbia University. Her grandfather was a war correspondent for the Associated Press in San Francisco.

She is the daughter of Janice, retired as a first-grade teacher at Dr. William Cobb Elementary School in San Francisco  and Robert Lee, retired in 1980 as a quarterback with the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League.

Leif Babin, was born December 30, 1975, a Woodville native and 1994 graduate of Monsignor Kelly High School in Beaumont. He was the executive officer of a Navy Seal Team 3 in San Diego. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md, Class of 1998. He was awarded a Silver Star, a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart for service in Anbar Province, Iraq, in 2006. 

He is a son of Roxanne Babin and Dr. Brian Babin of Woodville, Texas. Her father is a dentist in private practice in Woodville and former the town mayor. His younger brother, Lucas Edwin Babin (born July 30, 1979) is an American film and television actor.

According to New York Times, The couple first met at Navy Seal Warrior Fund dinner, Waldorf-Astoria, New York in October 2008 and engaged in January 2009. They began crisscrossing the country, until Commander Babin was deployed to Iraq in September 2009 for his third tour. He returned the following April, and they picked up where they had left off. 

“I was worried initially how some might be critical of my relationship with Leif, how they might view it as skewing my ability to report on the war or the military,” Ms. Lee said. “But being in love with someone who is willing to die for their country actually taught me so much more than I ever thought. It made me a better journalist.” 

Walking down the aisle on July 3 at Old Glory Ranch in Wimberley, Texas, Happening Now co-host Jenna Lee tied the knot Sunday with Navy SEAL Leif Babin. "At first I was worried I wouldn't be able to keep it together," Lee told the PEOPLE. "But once the moment arrived, I didn't shed a single tear!"

Instead, the day was filled with laughter and applause, as Lee wearing a gown by Lazaro, exchanged Christian vows with Navy SEAL Leif Babin, in front of 225 guests.


Following the ceremony, the two joined their guests for a Texas-inspired celebration that included the state's official bread Pan de Campo, as well as hamburgers, sliders, sweet potato fries with Habanero ketchup and an assortment of cupcakes for dessert.


The couple, who shared pink margaritas on their first date, also treated their guests to frozen pink margaritas from a margarita machine.


"One of the most fun parts of the night was to sit down on the stairs in my dress and watch everyone have such a great time," Lee says of the reception, which also featured lanterns hanging from trees.


A DJ kept the newlyweds and their guests dancing until midnight, when Lee and Babin were sent off in a 1946 Mercury Eight Street Rod Convertible surrounded by their guests holding sparklers.


"Walking down the aisle to Leif is a dream come true," says Lee. "From the moment I saw Jenna, I knew she was incredibly special, adds Babin.
