The July issue of Playboy has been revealed featuring Crystal Harris former fiancéé of Hugh Hefner, on the cover, will be defaced with a sticker that calls out Harris as a runaway bride with the headline “America’s Princess: Introducing Mrs. Crystal Hefner.”
Crystal Harris, 25, and Hugh Hefner, 85, got engaged in December 2010 and were scheduled to wed on Saturday, June 18. Sources said the couple had an argument over the weekend and Harris quickly moved her stuff out of the mansion and called off the wedding.
The wedding ceremony was to be filmed by US TV network Lifetime. But the wedding was called off between Crystal and Playboy magazine founder, as Crystal was cheating on Hef. She says that she was happier than ever. Crystal started dating Hefner in 2009, got engaged in late 2010. Now they called off their wedding just a day before their wedding day!!
Broken-hearted Hef is having some fun by affixing a sticker over her cover that reads “Runaway Bride In This Issue!”
The 2011 July issue is a typical irony where Crystal on the cover is featured half naked, wearing Hef’s trademarks sailors cap and smoking a pipe. Inside the magazine, blonde Crystal poses nude in a seven page spread as she claims it’s a tribute to her boyfriend. She is also holding her dog Charlie, who she took with her when she left the mansion.
Hef Tweeted, “Crystal took Charlie with her when she left & I really miss him.”
The July issue had likely already been printed and shipped when the breakup occurred, so preventing it from reaching the public was probably not possible.
“Recent events call for a special sticker on the July cover. Look for it on newsstands,” added Hefner wrote on Twitter .
The July 2011 issue of Playboy will hit newsstands Friday, June 17. Grab this one! Yeah… Awkward.
