Kirstie Alley has expressed her excitement over the announcement that John Travolta has signed to play alleged mob boss John Gotti in an upcoming biopic.
The actress, who has remained friends with Travolta since they starred together in the 1989 film Look Who's Talking, confessed that she "can't wait" to see him take on the role in Gotti: Three Generations.
"I think that's the most brilliant thing. He asked me should he do it. And it was a no-brainer," she told Extra.
"I'm ecstatic. I can't wait to see him."
Travolta previously offered his support to Alley as she embarked upon a stint on Dancing with the Stars.
He has described the legacy of the Gotti family as "the most interesting untold story in this country".
